Indonesian Batik Roll with Frosting and Cheese (Steam Version)
Batik is an Indonesian traditional cloth that originally comes from Java island. From its history, Batik textile heritage permeates the life of Indonesian people since the 5th century. It was used to illustrate the journey of human life from birth, marriage, until death. The word batik itself comes from the Javanese word amba (‘to write’) and titik (‘dot).
Working together and using the recipe originate from Ms Sinta from Jakarta, she coaching and selling her Batik Roll in Jakarta.

WHAT YOU LEARN
Understanding the theory, ingredients and learn the skills and technique in making a traditional Batik Swiss Roll, with frosting and cheese.
- Whisk up the sponge batter and steam the cake
- Prepare whipping cream and cheese
- Decorate your roll with given template
- Roll your own Roll with the cheese
- Bring home the Roll cake made by yourself in class.
COURSE FEE
- $120 per participant
- Individual station. No sharing with other participants. 100% Hands-on.
- Small Class Size (2 to 8 participants)
