Description

Siew Mai and Har Gow (烧卖, 虾饺)

Siew Mai and Har Gow –  Both are traditional Dim sum and they are usually serve together in a chinese restaurant.  

Siew Mai is a steamed dumpling made of a lye water dough wrapper covering up most of the meat stuffing.  Har Gow is a glassy steamed dumpling (gow) with an orange-pink prawn filling (har).

We will be using seafood, chicken filling and vegetables.

WHAT YOU LEARN

Understanding the theory, ingredients and learn the skills and technique in making 2 types of Hong Kong popular Dim Sum.   Hands-on making the skin and preparing the fillings.

  • Preparing and kneading both type of skin.
  • Preparing, cutting, seasonings the filling ingredients(Prawn, Chicken, Mushroom,  Carrot, etc)
  • Wrap and steam both Siew Mai and Har Gow
  • Consume while is warm or bring home to share with family.

 


COURSE FEE

  • $150 per participant
  • Individual station.  No sharing with other participants. 100% Hands-on.
  • Small Class Size (2 to 8 participants)
  • You can request to open a class at your preferred date and time with minimum 2 pax,  if our published schedule does not meet your requirement.
