Wa Ko Kueh – Steam Rice Cake
Wa Ko Kueh – local asian delights. Great for tea breaks and snacks.
What is Wa Ko Kueh? Individual steam cake by default in white colour. Food colourings are mixed to produce a colourful cakes which are usually fluffy and soft.
It is made by using Rice, Rice flour, and yeast with a mixture of water and sugar . It is then put into a small cake mould and steamed. They are usually served with grated coconut and orange sugar.
Duration: Approx 2 hours

Understanding the theory, ingredients and learn the skills and technique in making Steam Rice Cake.
- Hand mixing of Wa Ko Kueh Steam Rice Cake with both Rice and Rice Flour, allowing it to ferment.
- Understand the do’s and dont’s.
- Bring home the steam rice cake and enjoy the freshly steamed cake with family / friends.
