Apple Tarts – a baked dish consisting of a filling over a pastry base with an open top not covered with pastry. The pastry is usually shortcrust pastry; the filling may be sweet or savory, though modern tarts are usually fruit-based, sometimes with custard.
This class will be a baked dish consisting of a filling over a pastry base with an open top, using the dough to cover the top with criss-cross design.
Duration: Approx 2.5 hours

Understanding the theory, ingredients and learn the skills and technique in making a short crust pastry tart and prepare the apple fillings
- Make your own short crust the the shells of the tart.
- Shape the crust and bake.
- Mix apples and other ingredients for the fillings.
- Learn how to do a propose criss-cross design on top of the bake.
- Bring home the Apple Tarts made in class.
